This weekend, I got the pleasure of using one of the Nikon cameras from work that has a monster lens. The zoom was 18-200mm and the images were just so clear. Anyway, I took it to the meet on Saturday and then to the Church Picnic on Sunday. Here are some of my favorites…hope you enjoy.

I have been giving the opportunity for a 3rd part time job. I can’t seem to find one with set hours, but at least I get the chance to do 3 all at once. This job also just kind of fell into my lap..I love how God works! Joel and I got invited by Brad Thomas to check out the church that he leads worship at in Roanoke. For those of you who do not know, 1. Brad and Joel went to high school together and 2. Roanoke is about 15-20 minutes away from our house and is part of the Huntington School District. Anyway, the first Sunday we attended the sermon was on childrens ministry and we talked to the pastor after wards about how they were looking for someone to take an internship (only 5 hours a week, and paid) to pick up their childrens ministry. Now I have no background on childrens ministry, but I have the background of education. Well on Monday the pastors wife gave me a call and asked if I would like to meet with her and talk about the position. I of course said yes. We had lunch today and talked about what the position entitled and if it was something I would be interested in. Joel and I have been talking about it and both think it would be a great opportunity. I would get to work with Kids as well as keep my photography job (which I lovvvve) and still be able to sub. She gave me the website on where the curriculum comes from and we will both be thinking and praying about it and then come together again in a few days and see where we stand. I think this is just what God wants for me. I have never had positive experiences with church in the past and now he is showing me that it’s not a bad place after all (: Prayers are always welcome as I go through the thinking process. It’s only 5 hours a week, but it’s a start!

The MIB (Joel’s Cross Country Team) took 1st place overall at the Blackford invite Saturday! They look very strong and I’m very excited for them. I had the pleasure of using my new camera to take some shot of them and of course photoshopping and editing them afterwords…here is one: 
We had an enjoyable Friday Night Team Dinner with the the guys. The house where we have dinner, has a big pond and the guys got out the Canoes and some ended up swimming in their underwear. The parents that were there, along with the coaches, and myself enjoyed the entertainment. I’ll see if I can’t get some of those pictures to put on here. I do enjoy these guys and hope they can achieve their goal and win state!

I got a job! I will be working part time at Fredericks Photography here in Huntington. As of right now I will be going on shoots and working with the photographers to learn the equipment and the how to-s of the shoots. Eventually, if all goes well, I will be dong shoots on my own. Well with other help, but as a photographer! I am really excited about this. Photography is something that I’ve always wanted to do and have a big passion for. I always said I was going to wait until I got my feet in with teaching, but the opportunity arose and I took it! Since it’s part time I will still be subbing and what not. I am so excited to be starting my Dream Profession!!
